So I came across this article on X (Twitter) recently. It was a great read and I think there are important things that can apply to just about any homeowner and not just the luxury buyers.

Here are the key takeaways as per the author:

Luxury homes are a work of art and it’s a different ball game when it comes to selling them - buyers in this range shop for a different reason than most. They have more particular wants and needs than the general market and will pay more money for those things.

Now, what does this have to do with anything and why should you care? Well, luxury buyers have money and they like to spend it…on trendy things. Understanding the trends of the luxury buyers can help sellers in any price range “luxurify” their homes when it’s time to sell to give potential buyers the feeling of just that - luxury.

A $1,000,000,000 Difference!

The Windsor-Essex stats hold strong and stable as summer comes to an end. What is interesting to see is the total volume of real estate that has been transacted over the past 3 years from when the market peaked (highlighted in the graphic below). Crazy to think the total value of real estate sold YTD was $1,000,000,000 higher than what it is today!! It’s a positive sign to see a slight increase from 2023.

I remain bullish for the remainder of 2024 and into 2025.

If you are like me, you love vintage things. Well, I am at a listing presentation with my client, they are walking us through the home and we come to the office only to see a 1950s jukebox (that works like a charm!!) and we just had to incorporate it into our listing video. Check it out!
